Perfumer Daniel Aubusson founded the fragrance house Aubusson in 1984. Within a thirty-year period, the brand produced twenty different scents. In 2001, First American Brands, a major fragrance manufacturer and distributor to American, European, and Middle Eastern markets, added the brand to its portfolio. However, by 2015, the company was no longer active and First American Brands filed for bankruptcy. Some perfumes remain in production through distribution rights owned by Great American Beauty, an American fragrance company.
