Like the novel of the same name by Julien Gracq, this fragrance is about the tension beetween fate and chance, closeness and distance, an unknown future and the heritage of a glorious past – all in front of the gorgeous coast of Northern Africa.

The fragrance first embraces us gently with pineapple and orange, while the brillance of the tuberose is framed by orange flowers and ylang-ylang. Frankincense slightly darkens the sky, why amber, vanilla and musk in the basis build it all – like a metapher for human existance, which sometimes stumbles between extreme poles and sometimes is a well of tranquility, but always searching for its place in an unpredictable universe.
